I own a copy of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and as an end result I would like to have a small network (< 20 Computers) that login through this server. I have found the site: http://www.petri.co.il/install_windows_2003.htm. If I follow this process, will I end up with a server that users login through the setup domain? What are you tips/tutorials/advice to myself in respect to setting up such a server. Thank you for your time.

The first thing is, use a .local domain unless you have a registered domain that you are going to host a web or exchange server.

Search Google on setting up & maintaining active directory. That's going to hold your user information & do your authentication.

Use a static IP for the server.

I would use NTFS.

Thanks Don, I appreciate it. I think I may have found some more good resources from what you mentioned.
