Wi-fi Sharing with TiVo

I presently have a cable modem and a wireless router that I use to connect to a TiVo device. Soon I will be losing the cable connection and need to figure out how to use a public wi-fi signal to achieve the same results. The TiVo has its own wi-fi adapter and/or an ethernet connection available.

The reason I need to share this connection is because the TiVo is not able to log-in to the wi-fi connection on its own.

ISC does not work because it seems to be designed for computer to computer hook-ups. An ad-hoc network connection always loses the internet connection when I plug in the ethernet cable to feed the TiVo device. My need is to get this to work without the cable modem.

I have been on many boards and no one has been able to offer a solution. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't deal with TV much but a capture card in your PC may help even though there is already one in Tivo.

justin.tv along with some others, offers streams.
