In the past few days, my stytem suts down doing a memory dump and showing stop:0x00000027.

The following shows up in error log - 7/5/2009 9:22 AM Application Error Faulting application ccSvcHst.exe, version 108.1.0.24, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.1433, fault address 0x00050bb4.

WHile I'm working on system, this does not happen - only when I'm not using for a period of time (seems about a 1/2 hour of non use)

Anyone have a suggestion?

Thnx

What version of Windows are you on? Are you running Symantec products (Norton)?
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

do you have a screensaver? Disable it if you do. Then see if it happens again

I've returned several google results that lead me to think that Norton would be the causal application here, but unfortunately, none seem to have a fix for the error out-right. I would start by isolating the issue. I would remove Norton from the PC and see if the problem persists.

You could also search your computer for the .dll file and see how many copies exist and where they are located. Maybe that would tip something.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.
