Is there some way to eather slow down my connection or use a browser plugin or something to test my websites to see on how they would react on slower connections?

I am not too sure on where would be a good spot to put this subject....
Thanks, Josh --DemonMaestro

Maybe someone here has a dialup connection. They can tell you how the site loads.

Why should that matter? Give the password, to the person who is testing it & change it after the test is done.

Have the FBI test it. We wouldn't want to put national security at risk.

I was thinking Firefox's Firebug + Pagespeed might provide you some tools to analyze how long things take to load, and areas you could improve your page. Also if you use Windows:

http://bandwidthcontroller.com/trafficShaperXp.html

That tool seems to be able to allow you to limit your connection. If you are running a Linux computer than possibly this one:

http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collabor ... king/netem

That tool appears to let you simulate packet loss, packet corruption, and rate control to limit how fast things can be downloaded.

you should be able to modify the network card to do what you need as you can limit speeds over a network and even if you got dual network cards you can set one to send and the other to receive so you have faster processing over the network.

I was shown that years ago by a master system admin, he did some good stuff.
