A slow Laptop Highjack posting

Hello...

I have another post with my home computer's log, but my laptop is even slower so I hope there is a ton of stuff I can be helped with... I did the automated analyze with the posted site on things to do before posting and deleted 3 things. Here is the log...

I don't see anything wrong. You may have to run msconfig and remove some things from the startup. The only strange thing was the redirect start page.

I checked startup and unchecked a few things like itunes helper... something that had Lexmar (I'm assuming old lexmark printer) and such... a lot of them I didn't know by their names what they were

Only delete the redirect if you don't want that as your start page.

Only a few things are really needed in the startup. Post the list if you're not sure.

If it helps... as long as by things NOT being a start up it doesn't mean that I can't open them.. then there is really Nothing that I want to start up on start up... only the things you tell me I need !!

Wait a minute. I think I see the problem without going through that list. Go to the control panel, add and remove programs. Highlight AOL and click on change/remove. It will list all the versions of AOL you have. Delete all of them except the last version. If you aren't using AOL at all, delete all of them. Multiple versions of AOL can put a heavy drag on any PC.

You were right, I deleted AOL b/c I never use it. I hope you can let me know what I CAN'T take off of startup.

I now have an error message of:
"Error loading C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll

The specified module could not be found" when I start up

AND now when I start up... an Acroat.com folder opens up.


More issus But no more aol... lol

Recommendation

Disable and Remove cdaengine0400 IMMEDIATELY. This process is most likely an adware or spyware.

Start, run, type msconfig, press enter. Uncheck it if it's under startup.

Also, delete it from the registry if it's there.
