sorri but i have another problem, shutting down

hi i dont know if there is already a thread for this, but when i shut down my pc it goes through the usual bizzo, but then after the small box saying "windows is shutting down' appears, the computer remains on with the background colour showing.

im running xp

any thoughts?

ps-sorri it just seems im all take and no give :oops:

same problem. i get to blue screen and then it freezes

For the blue screen....

Check out after the STOP XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
the name of the driver....then restart the computer in safe mode,
disable the bad driver and reinstall it...or upgrade it.

As for the computer freezing...isnt their a log file for shut down, that can be used to debug it?
