StartUp Password change

Hello anyone who can help me. I was using my toshiba laptop, turned it off and went to school. when i cam home and tried to get on my laptop, i entered my normal password at the very first time you can have a password on the start up screen. I don't know what happened but any of the passwords i try don't work... Any help would be much appreciated
