Hey guys! I've had this problem for a while now... When i try to stream a movie (through Windows Media player, I click the link and a few months ago it'd start through media player by itself) But now it wants me to Download it first with no options to stream... Gettin' annoyin' to download 15 second clips all the time. So does anyone know what the problem is? I think it started when I got windows vista. Might've to do with that.

Check the file association in Explorer, tools, folder options, file types.

That's explorer, not internet explorer.

Hmm, yeh i have the swedish version of windows. Althou explorer should be "utforskaren" since that's the translation. But i don't kno vista so well and it doesn't seem to have any tools thingy. I can only go round searchin' through folders.

Click start, run, type C: and press enter.
You should see Tools at the top.

Ye thanks mate, found it. Okay so after folder options... I can't find the file types.

*Edit* sorry for my lack of knowledge ^^

*Edit, again* Might add that when i try to stream the clip it says;
"Would you like to save this file?
Name: (Filename)
File type: (Often windows media file, which makes it so odd.)
From: (site)

Further down there's an X and a text;
The file cannot be opened in the standard program. Either the file is damaged or it has the wrong file type. For safety reasons you should cancel the download. (Translated from swedish, so might not be exact :P)

So it might've to do with sumtin' in mediaplayer, cos i can play it alright once downloaded.

I haven't used the program myself but it appears that it will give you that option if you can't find it in Windows.

Go back to the file types, highlight whatever file extension the downloads are and see what program is set to open the file. Change it if necessary.

Thanks alot mate, you've been really helpful, even though of my lack of experience and english skills :P
I got it fixed by simply downloadin' one clip and then changin' to VCL as original program to open those files (MPEG sumtin'). Then when i tried to click another one it asked me sumtin' 'bout if I wanted to block those files or something like that. Then it asked if I wanted to open or save it. Checked "always do this for these files" and clicked open. Changed back to Media player and it works. It doesn't stream directly in media player, has to open the file first (download to temporary map) but I guess I can stand that.
