SYSVOL FOLDER EMPTY

Hi to all,
I just cam from vacation and met my sysvol empty
I have been getting this error 1030 and 1058 in my event viewer
I don't really know what happned. but I do have a backup copy of the sysvol dated 7 months ago
I want to restore this backup but don't know if it might affect anything
I need advice, if anyone had had this problem before or have an experience
I will appreciate their advice
