Just remember Google is your friend:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=U ... c+to+PC%22

Search: "convert mac to PC"
Results: 522

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... +to+mac%22

Search: "convert pc to mac"
Results: 169

Click the links or include the quotes in the 2 searches. Something probably in the first 2 or 3 pages will probably give you your answer.

it depends, I know the G4's I was on over the summer could burn basically unformatted cds that'd work in both mac's and pc's.

it is not about burning. what i want is to transfer some mac files (located on the hardrive) to a pc with windows (also on the hardrive). i think i need some cable (like usb) to connect them but i don't know anything about computer networking.

If both computers have an ethernet port then look in google for any way for the 2 computers to see each other. in os x jag. the computers should show up ij the networking area. in windows for xp they should me in workgroup or the my network places area in windows.

not real sure about the mac thing, its just something i remembered from trying to network my sisters powerbook g4.

but i didn't do anything to network them except hook up a cable!

we have wireless networking and my sis connects to it no prob. via airport

for a peer to peer network (PC to PC or PC to MAC) you would need a cross over cable. Then you could use a protocol that is on both machines, like NetBIEU or TCP/Ip. Depending on the file type you may have to convert it from PC to Mac or vise versa. Or you could go and buy a four port router or a four port firewall and link them both to it and share files that way and also the internet connection. Just some random thoughts, Enjoy :D

or if you're an apple guru, appletalk is your preferred protocol. All in all,
what you need is a network connection between the two.
