Tricking windows?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to trick windows into thinking that there is a sound card without actually having to install one. ( just because this computer I am using is a POS anyway) I know with Linux you can trick it into thinking there is a sound card ,but I am not sure with Windows

Not that I know, I would think just installing random sound card drivers might work, but I doubt it.

Why did you want to do this? The computer/programs giving you errors or something?

Yeah , I am getting a "fatal error" when tyring to get Atomica to work for my little sister. And there error says that it can not load the sound and so it wont let her play it. Plus it wont let you play any games that require a sound card to be installed. It may be because of something else, I am not real good at Windows.

and in order to install drivers I believe you have to have a sound card. So that wont work, i think I am ganna just have to stop tring to find ways to trick it and just go spend the money on one
