Signed into aim one day and i notice i have a recent buddy that i never put there or even heard of, I use aim to talk to 3 family members so it was none of them

Also the screen name was quite shady, I just deleted it though. pc was clean and formatted and used for 2 weeks no way it was malware...damn this is really bothering me to see a random sn show up when i sign in sigh

What was his screen name?
How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

It was a gay sounding screen name believe it or not. No idea how someone gay would be on my buddy list as i am not gay myself

But yea it got me pretty paranoid as to why the heck it got there and my pc is personal. I dont even have an aim profile too so that's what got me thinking how this person even was on my recent buddie list...

Search for file called blist.xml & try to open it. The name may still be there.

what a late response, no such file exists

mainly the disturbing part is having someones screen name in your buddy list and you have no full blown clue HOW it made its way there

Ehh

You could have accidently added it.
OR maybe clicking on a link on a website had opened an IM and you didn't notice.

I'm not saying it is you fault or anything but sometimes that stuff happens.
