Hi,

Need help. I installed IE8 today and really unhappy to see the way it works. Loaded with bugs right now.

I need to go back to IE 7.
Please advice how I can do this.

Here is what I have already tried.
1. Tried looking under control Panel but could not see IE8 that I could uninstall.
2. So I simply tried to install IE7. But the message that I get is "This OS does not support IE7". I am on Vista Home Premium.

Please advice with clear steps as I am a lettle new to this.
Thaanks in anticipation.

Microsoft has made it really hard to uninstall IE, and I don't actually think IE7 can be uninstalled. The best way would be a system restore to a time before you installed IE8.

Just reformat your hard disk, less risk and eliminate bugs gain to 0%. Just backup important files before reformatting.

DON'T REFORMAT YOUR HARDRIVE!

I'm sorry, grishamist, but that should be listed as "last recourse" for anyone having computer problems. Most people aren't computer savvy enough to do it successfully and typically create more problems than they had to begin with. I've been fixing computers for 10 years and only once was a computer so bad that my only option was to reformat.

In this case it isn't necessary at all. IE8 can be uninstalled and I provided the link how to do it.

it surprises me people that you guys gave him a recomendation on how to uninstall IE8 without telling him first to install other internet browsr such as firefox or opera.

He already has IE7 and wants to get back to it; he doesn't want another browser. Just because you personally don't use IE for much doesn't mean that everyone shouldn't.

Oh well off-topic but why don't you try installing Firefox and using it . It is much better to IE .
