vista install

on my vista computer there is the set up for vista so i burnt this on to a disk just to be safe, i was just wondering how you would make it so if i installed the setup on boot up it would load and install

You need to be more specific. Microsoft doesen't just give the setup file for Vista away. Where was it found? I seriously doubt you have what you think you do.

If you want a bootable DVD, you would need to download an image from a torrent site (not that I'm condoning this) and burn it to DVD with a program such as MagicISO.

sounds like he found the recovery partition to me. I don't believe burning it will help you, if that's what it is. You will have to leave that in tact and boot to it if you ever needed to recover the OS.

It's Windows Anytime Upgrade. I'm afraid that wont work as a normal installation disk, and you would need to do as I said before for a bootable setup disk.

as posted before i dnt have a recovery partition that i can see lol it has a partition but i don't know if it;s a recovery one lol i'll take a screen shot when i get on my vista.

any who thanks for the help lol also when vista fails to boot i get a recovery process that tries to fix errors or does a system restore if it cant, is that gonna work if vista gets screwed over?

What do you mean? I'm not sure if I'm answering your question, but if you download and burn a copy of Vista, you can check it simply by putting it in your disk drive..

yeha i know now that i'm asking about the recovery i get when windows fails to boot, but it dnt matter lol if i get the set up for vista and only use my product that counts as legal right lol

i've foudn out if i press f11 on boot i get a reovery woot lol tho on boot up doesnt say f11 to recover date i foudnit by chance but oh well
