Hi,

I have a Compaq Armada E500 Notebook. (win 98)
But I installed win. XP. Every thing is OK but the
Volume up and down buttons are not working.
I tried to install the driver from Compaq.com.
But Nothing happend. I can remember some one
had made it for me once by installing a driver from
compaq.com. but I formated the laptop again

Please Help

Thank You

I don't know. But after the format. The driver was gone.
Maybe because the XP version I have is not for notebooks???

There is no "xp version for notebooks." I know with my dell laptop, I had to download a specific set of drivers and a program to get my drivers to work. Also the only way they would work is if the program was running all the time in the background.
