Welcome to the Windows 98/ME forum. I will try to Keep Fresh content about windows 98/ME on here, like security holes, bug fixes, tips, tricks etc. I would welcome anyone to post questions as well as help out with answering some of the questions posted here.

I wish to use a flash drive on a computer with windows 98.I have forgotten allot of what i know about windows 98 can someone help me?oh and i don't like this color its hard to read:

Try to change your boot sequence to usb and that's it, you can use flash drive on installing. But remember, make sure your flash drive is bootable. You can have a tutorial on the net on how to change your flash drive into a bootable flash drive.

Albeit it a slightly outdated post, you may be able to still use a Flash drive on 98 (I have), but the Flash drive has to be compatible with USB 1

Unless you installed a separate USB 2 drive in your 98 computer, Windows 98 only knows what USB 1 is.

If it isn't backwards compatible, you won't be able to use the flash drive.
