I finally upgraded to Windows XP. I used to schedule ScanDisk and Defrag to run via the task scheduler in Win98. I can't find ScanDisk in my XP programs list, and the XP task scheduler wizard won't allow me to run Defrag in the task scheduler. Any suggestions?

you'll find that this is pretty unnecessary using XP, unlike 98.
XP is far more stable, and unless you are installing a lot of new
programs or adding and deleting tons of files all the time, there
is no real need to run scandisk IMO. Same goes for defrag.

The defrag depends on whether or not the user is using NTFS or FAT32. If using FAT32, defragging may be necessary.
