where is the dynamic library

when ever i try running that game Track Mania and another game Midnight Club 2 i get that error. I downloaded the dll file i just need to know where it is. (the folder)

The procedure entry point DdEntry10 could not be located in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll

i updated/fixed the link

That file is part of DirectX. Not sure off hand where it goes but I would guess the system or system32 directory depending on what OS you are running.

If replacing that file doesn't work you might try reinstalling DirectX.

If I were at home I could check the location of that file. (I run XP as well) But I'm visiting my sister in Baltimore and she has Win 98. Still, I bet it's in the windows/system32 directory. You could probably do a search for it on your system to find out.

Another thing, if the version you downloaded is not the same as the DirectX version currently installed, it may not work.

i remember why. haha when i formated a few weeks ago. i never reinstalled direct X. thanks. i never would of that of that

Win XP comes with version 8.0. Just out of curiosity, do those particular games require a newer version?
