I've installed SP2 on WIN / XP, and I had the same problem described in this topic: http://www.ozzu.com/hardware/can-print-after-installing-service-pack-t31031.html

I followed instructions and now printing works.

If I scan documents or if I "Browse with Paint Shop Pro 7" this error occurs: (free translation from danish)

SERVER IS BUSY
This cannot be completed, as the other programe is busy. Choose "Change to..." to activate the other programe and correct the problem.

The other option is to "try again". This give me the same error.
"Change to.." just activates the [START] menu.

I would very much appriciate any help I can get.

Do a search here too:

Looks like it happens with printers mostly.

the underlying cause lies with the way Windows XP SP2 blocks ports. In other words, the enhanced security of Windows XP SP2 stops it talking to certain printers, Looking over the error messages above, you may be able to guess it is a communication problem, but you would hard pressed to realise it was due to a newly blocked port.

Do you have the Microsoft firewall disable ?

What type of scanner do you have look at this :

If it's cannon then you no it is other printers and scanners.
