I just installed a slipstream version of win2k w/ sp4. Everything runs smoothly except when browsing network shares.

I mapped to one drive which is a DFS share and the other drive which is a regular NTFS share. I can connect and even browse the files but after a few seconds, the system hangs. i cannot use CTRL-ALT-DEL, have to pull the plug.

Checked the Event Viewer but no messages/alerts. the system is a compaq (maybe thats the problem) deskpro 600 w/ a cisco wireless ethernet adapter. It doesnt make any difference whether i log into our domain or the local machine.

Let me know if you need add'l details. Thanks!

Check the settings of the network card and compare it with the settings of the switch (100/full, 10/full, 100/half, 10/half) :D
