I am sure this has been brought up somewhere before. But everynow and then my IE says it has an error and then it closes down. Microsoft says I have this trojan... Tried 3 different antivirus software and they found nothing.

So is there anything I can do, cuz some of my favorite sites wont open now because of this.

Thanks

Winshow is a browser hijacker. This link gives an excellent description of what it does, but not much help in removal instructions:

http://www3.ca.com/threatinfo/virusinfo ... x?id=37321

This link gives some pretty helpful manual removal instructions:

http://www.2-spyware.com/parasite-winshow.html

Typically this type of Adware is "packaged" with some other program that was installed on the machine, so there is a possibility that one of your recently downloaded programs may not work after removing this. That's OK though -- you probably don't want it anyway. I think the last time I saw this it was bundled with some kind of Casino program.

If the above information doesn't quite match what you find do a google search for Winshow -- plenty of info there.

I did it and nothing of that came up at all and my IE is still crashing, but now more frequently and the microsoft window that pops up after the crash keeps saying its the Win32/Winshow.51712.dll.Trojan

So what else can I do or try besides redo everything in here?

Win32/Winshow.51712.dll.Trojan

can possibly be found in found in ..........
iefeatsl.dll

An unneccessary temp file which causes ie to crash. Find the file and just delete it.

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS\~1\Temp\WER1518.tmp.dir00\appcompat.txt

Yeah I downloaded it and then found out it cost money, I'm a starving college student and dont have the money to pay for a copy of it.

Any other suggestions?

If you go to the actual site http://security.kolla.de and search for spybot search and destroy or http://www.download.com and search for the same program. it is a good piece of software that helps remove browser hijackers and other sorts of spyware.
