<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe help

When i turn on my old ME computer it says that

<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
is missing or erased

I have no idea how to fix this and i dont have ME disk to re-install it.

boot from the o.s system disk? use a boot disk?

maybe something deleted it.. or virus, or corrupt it is

Did you at any time try to change the login or startup screen?, becuase that is the best explaination I can think of... also try booting into safe mode and repacing the file from there... good luck.

When i turn on my other computer this pops up, and i cant really do anything it says the file is corrupted or erased something like that, and iam wondering if any one can please help me.

hey foxy dude can u tell me something, i was trying to download it from the original disk but it would chek the disk or anything, and i cannot even run setup.

Uhhhhhhhh, what do u mean by formatting, and reinstalling,
when i insert the disk ME it wont read it or anything, i tried running setup but it wont work.
