Hi there I am hoping someone might be able to answer this question for me...

is it possible to find out if a user is logged into windows or not?

Doesn't matter which user it is, I just need like a boolean.

i have managed to find a few things through googling and they all seem to suggest the sane thing, dredging the profiles portion of the registry...

however, if a profile crashes, this method will still report a user is logged in, even though it is not the case.

Thanks in advance.

usrstat.exe on the resourse kit may help; it may send an exit status code you can capture. Otherise, look for a port of the UNIX who command.
