Windows 2003 Server

I have just joined a new company, only to find that there is 3 windows server 2003 small business edition machines all running as domain controllers, is this ok or should there only be one.

help please

No problem with 3. One will be the primary domain controller. The other 2 will be backups. Do you need help with more than that?

I know ATNO, you know this probably better than I do, but...

well, technically they are all equal in the Active Directory domain
model, but one of the domain controllers will hold the Global
Catalog. THAT is the machine that is considered the primary.

However, in AD, there really is no such thing as a 'backup' DC
any more. That term sort of died with the old NT domain model.
I believe they're referred to as Secondary now.

and to asnwer the question, no tht's not a problem, it's the
solution! You'll find it's extremely efficient and stable.
