My computer is stuck in some kind of loop. :hmm:

When I turn it on it says...

"Configuring updates stage 3 of 3, 0% complete, please do not turn off computer"

Then automatically shuts down and restarts again and again with the same problem. I've googled everything but still can't get it resolved. I've no vista disk either. I was told to turn the computer off when it said "Microsoft Cooperation" to get into a "launch start up repair" section. Then go to "view advanced options for system support" and from there go to "command prompt". I think I have to change something to stop I'm not sure what exactly. As you probably know by know I'm kind of computer illiterate! When I'm in these options my computer won't even let me do a system restore. I really need my computer back as soon as possible so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hold F8 when it boots. Choose Last Known Good Config.

I tried holding f8 when it boots and it briefly went onto the screen to choose a logg in user, then shut down and went back to the same loop several times. I thought I had it there for a minute. Any other suggestions?

If it went to the login screen, you hit it too late. Try it again.
