windows colors

PLEASE HELP !!!!
I installed windows professional 2000 but it only has an option for 16 colors. Everything is all gritty looking and far from clearly viewable. I can't make anything out when it is on the screnn. What can I do to get more color options?

You need to install the graphics/video card drivers. If you bought your PC new, then you should have a drivers disk that came with the restore disks. If for some reason you don't have the drivers disk, you can go to Windows update and it should identify what updated drivers are available for your graphics card.

lol, I had the same problem the last time I wiped my HD. I spent 2 1/2 hours doing all of my techy "trouble shooting." I then had a pepsi and was hit by the simplicity of my problem. I laughed all night long. :lol:
