I am bringing this up from the back of my mind but could anyone explain why about 4 months ago whenever i defraged my windows 98 se computer it just got slower and slower after each defrag. How could this happen? It doesn't make much sense at all. Does it?

Now the computer's just torn apart with no hard drive the side door open sitting in my room with a printer and book on top of it. Talk about a good storage space!

How old is the hard drive in the computer? You might have some bad sectors/clusters? This would cause your computer to perform sluggish.
