I have this strange behavior of my Windows Xp SP2 OS. I cannot see my hidden files. I navigate to my windows explorer under Tools -> Folder Options -> Views (Tab). Here I select the radio button "Show my hidden files and folders" (default selected is "Do not show the hidden files and folders")and apply and then click ok... all seems well ... but functionally there is no change at all. I still cannot see any hidden system files or hidden folders.

When I again go to tools - > folder options - > views ... I see the "Do not show the ....." still selected.

How to get rid of this virus.......? Tried all latest virus scan softwares but no luck.
Can any body help me????

It might not be a virus. It could be that you are not using an administrator account when you make the change.
