I just purchased a new Compaq Presario V6000 and it came with no Windows Boot Disk, or any other software discs that were already installed on the computer. Should I attempt to obtain the software from the purchase place? Or try to burn a copy myself? If so how would I do so? I really need help on this one! Thanks!!!

Unfortunately manufacturer's no longer package in the Windows disc. You can create recovery discs, but that's about it.

Thank you for your advice. It is partitioned into 2 drives one of which has recovery information. Could I burn a bootable recovery disc using those files?
