windows media player wont burn cd's

whne i try to burn cd's, windows tell me to connect a burner, uh ? my burner is hooked up. it wass part of my system when i got it.

anyone ?

Do you have CD writer? Or your CD Drive is a CD writer type? Or maybe the player is the problem. Piece of advice, install Nero and if the error pops again, the writer is not functioning well.
