Hi.

I am trying to use windows media server to stream videos from my website. I am inheriting the setup here, and am not familiar with the windows media server, i usually use quicktime for videos. In the .wmv format there is the capability to stream videos of multi-bit rates, and there is supposed to be something on the media server that can detect the speed of a users connection, and stream the proper quality video. It seems like there is little documentation that I can find about how this is actually implemented. Does anyone know what the basic files i need to do this (.asx? .wmx?) and how to create them? Is there software out there that will enable me to do this in a more automatic/wysiwyg type form?

I can find very little on the internet as far as instructions for an average user, which i would consider myself, wanting to stream video with this media server. so any help that anyone can offer would be very appreciated.

thanks,
/JKL
