Help, when I open windows messenger the screen resolution changes

Maybe one of the compatibility mode option has been set for the Windows Messenger executable.
To check and see if one of the compatibility mode option has been set for the Windows Messenger executable press winkey+r and type "%programfiles%\MSN Messenger"(no quotes) and click OK. Right click on msnmsgr, select Properties and then click the Compatibility tab. Make sure nothing is checked and then click OK.
