Windows XP remote Logins

i had a curiosity Question here, when i am at work here i can log onto any computer and all my settings and files are saved. and i use the same login for each computer. what i would like to do is usilize windows XP PRO login system the same so if i need to access my other computer i can just click log off button and "switch users" access what i need then log back into my other login name. is htis possible? if so ho do i do it? this would solve a lot of my problems for sure...

oh and BTW my work computer is win 2000 but they are almost the same in most ways...

no i use tight vnc ( http://www.tightvnc.com )for that. it works great, but the connection is sluggish. im talking about my 3 computer home network. logging into my desktop computer name from my home computer.. from my laptop, for example, and all my settings and options are retained... and acceess to that hard drive are granted etc... i know it will still be a bit sluggish but im not even sure its possible.. any ideas?
