I need to know how to install Microsoft Transaction Server(I used to install for Win NT4.0) for Windows 2003 Server. I have installed the MS Windows Server 2003 Web Edition.

I don't *think* it exists any more. I think it got replaced by something called 'Component Services'. I believe its in Administrative Tools. I don't use it so don't know any more than that i'm afraid!

It is no longer called MTS.
It also is no longer an optional component.

It is now called "Component Services"
Under control panel select "Administrative tools"
then select "Component Services"

I'm not sure if this will work but you could try exporting your application packages and just installing them in 2003.

I'd probably go through the process manually because I'm not sure about transfering users and rolls etc.

So basically your 2003 server has the infrastructure in place already. All you have to do is get your components over and make sure the security is all set up the same.

Its a point for you to start with atleast.
Hope I've been helpful,
