Also with Firefox tabs, Ctrl+Tab lets you tab through all open tabs. Ctrl+Shift+Tab takes you backwards through them.

Ctrl+Shift+Enter - complete a .org adress
Ctrl+J - Downloads
press / and itll open the find box and will find the text as you type it
F3 to find next
Ctrl+T - new tab
Alt+Enter - Open adress in new tab
Ctrl+(1 to 9) - select tab 1 - 9

Mouse Shortcuts(Firefox):

Middle click on tab - Close tab
Scroll line by line - Alt + Scroll
Ctrl + Left Click on link will open in new tab.

Oh yea one helpful tip for all programs:
Help - Help Contents - Search - Shortcuts
This will more than often lead you to the shortcuts for the app.

Actually, I overlooked that before. (no idea how I missed it). Tannu4u, please do not repost entire documents from another site. A link to the document is sufficient.

The content of that topic is somewhat borderline, but since it's quite outdated, and merely educational, I'll leave it.

Also, please read our posting rules regarding signature requirements, in the announcements board. You will need to redo yours. It's nearly double the file size we permit, and if you use an image of that height you may only include one line of small text.

Thanks.

cant say this is really a trick ot shortcut, but it is very helpful. its similar to linux multi-desktop tabbing or whetever. it helps unclutter your desktop when youre working on different projects or whatever. lick the link. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx i right cliked on my menu bar to change the settings for my googlebar. i musta d/l it with an update or something. either way its very helpful and very simple to use. Enjoy! oh, and for those on 98 still, i just tried it and it dont work. havent tried me or 2k yet. only 98 and xp
