In IE:
If you just type the name of a website into the address bar then press Ctrl and Enter windows automaticall puts
http://www. before it and .com afterwards.....it saves a lot of time.
e.g.
Type "ozzu" into the address bar
Press Ctrl and Enter
http://www.ozzu.com appears!

CTRL+F5 - Force refresh in IE, good if you have cached pages, 99% of us do, especially immediately after updating a page on a site via FTP, or after updating the hosts file (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) if you've got those stupid browser hijackers
CTRL+E - Built-in IE Search feature; it's horrible compared to google, but hey, it has my site!
Winkey + U - If you're deaf, this is a great tool!
Winkey + B - see the status of your network connection
some others too lazy to write down

look at your PC keyboard, on the bottom left between your Ctrl and
Alt keys is a key with a Windows logo on it. Hold it down like Shift to
accomplish various shortcuts.
Such as --
Winkey + D = Show Desktop
enjoy.

that doesn't work too well -
I locked it, left the password field blank and it let me right back in. Also,
none of my passwords were valid when locking it with that method.

Oh, I get it - "Winky" must be an XP theme thing. I switched mine to Windows Classic as soon as I turned the machine on. *lol - getting a little old for change! I still call it the Start button.

ATNO - I've never heard it called "Start Button" when referring to the
keyboard. As long as I can remember back on Win 3.1, it's been called
Windows Key or "Winkey."
Maybe just that we've just never heard the terms...interesting nonetheless.

I guess it was how I was saying it in my mind. Winky as in wink-ee
Now I feel like a dunce. I was multi-tasking and was reading fast. Let's see what other excuses can I come up with. *duh

I actually thought you simply mistyped it!
I wish...Yep, that was a blunder on my part...but even though I did remember after-the-fact the WinKey term...I actually have allways refered to it as "Start". But I hear you...I see where it comes from now after over half a day of reading!
