Post 3+ Months Ago

I'm not sure what happened, either a game I was playing or some software I installed, but my voice and audio stopped working in Windows XP Pro. I managed to get my sound working again by unchecking "digital sound only", but my voice still doesn't work.

I have an onboard Realtek Azalia ALC888. After the problem started occuring, I installed brand new Realtek drivers. I installed them properly and the sound works great, it detects when I plugin my mic, but again, still no voice. I'm not sure if I properly uninstalled my old creative sound card drivers, I used add/remove programs and removed them from the device manager though. I also just tried using a program called "3D Guru - Driver Sweeper" and removed what I could with it.

I know it's not a hardware issue because I switched between 2 sound cards, they both work fine. I also tried an alternative headset, so I know it's not a hardware issue with a microphone. I think my registry is corrupt but I have no way to fix it. Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time.
