Would this be good enough to run a proxy server off of?

Since I'm going to run off to college soon, I'm going to need some creative ways to earn money, so I've decided a proxy would be one of the best courses of actions. Leave the computer at home and change the site every so often.

Anyways, heres the computer specs. I would have a little more detail, if I had a working hard drive in it, that, and I don't remember whats inside it, but I assume 80Gigs should be well more than enough for something like this.

Windows XP Pro SP2
AMD Athlon 1800+
512MB RAM

Even if that machine were good enough, which I don't think it is, what about your connection speeds? How much are you going to charge for a proxy service?
