Yahoo Messenger Audio support error when in chat.

Maybe the issue has been resolved but i havent been able to find an answer.

with my new laptop which came with windows vista premium pre-installed, when i go into a chat room on yahoo messenger, it tells me the audio is not supported. my guess is that its a codec error or some update that i havent been able to locate.

is anyone else having this issue or knows of a way to resolve it?
