I came across this DRM issue when I want to import some WMP music to my new iPod?
the iTunes can't convert the WMA to MP3 automatically, it popped up a window said the WMA is protected?

If any method or program could help me that would be very appreciate.

Thx

usually, when you open a file in media player and it tells you that it's protected, media player is supposed to (under original settings) download the usage rights automatically ...

all right, had a quick look at the settings for you, and if it doesn't automatically download usage rights, do the following ... (Media Player 11) ... go to tools>options and then click on the "Privacy" tab, and check the "Download usage rights automatically ..." button.

also, to make sure your music files don't get protected while ripping them from a CD in Media Player, go to the "Rip Music" tab, and un-check the "Copy Protect Music" button.
