Soundbooth CS4 is supposed to be a lighter, easier to use product and CS4 should be available for release sometime next month

Fleximusic Audio Editor looks like a great tool, particularly looks good for making music on the fly, improvising and stuff. Would be good to try it out sometime. A cutdown version just been announced too which might suit me at the moment.

And Audition from Adobe as mentioned above is good. Personally I've been working with Sound Forge for a really long time already and I find it the best I've ever used. Costs a bit of money but 120% satisfied with it

Adobe is powerful, but not so user-friendly.

you can try sound forge for it... i also used dat too... really a good audio editing software..

Audacity is great, but it's a little bit difficult to use when I first tried it.
