Font Embedding

I have projects coming on my job that will require “Font Embedding”. I am not very familiar with how it’s done, but I know the projects are “Infographics” and will be created in Adobe Illustrator. I am part of a design team, so this will of course be a design-based project. Are there and recommendation?

Thank you for your help. I learned after my post, this will be a web based project. We are searching terms like @fontface, font linking, and Google font API and the like. I found information on those.
