How to Create an MP3 download Link

I have a website and would link to create download links for my mp3 files. Can anyone help me out with this process. It would be much appreciated. Thanks

I've long been retired from website development but, if I remember correctly, all you have to is make a link directly to the mp3 file and it should download.

Yep href tag should do it np, act it as a file. But the preview player can be found using some snippets i guess. This should be web dev 101 really.

Also i know most don't care but make sure you have the rights to the MP3, Don't need the RIAA after ya lol

Well I didn't see anyone else answer since 2011 ;)

In any case yes often a browser will often ask you what you want to do with the file if you link directly to it, but if you want to be sure that all browsers will do this there is an alternative way of doing it that will work too.
