I don't know if this is the right forum or not, but here goes: Recently, my btother made a video for Ron Paul with a good soundtrack that used 2 different music themes, text on top of the video and of course, the video. What procedure would best tell me HOW he did this? If I wanted to make my own video-what steps would best be taken?

Are you using Mac or PC Windows? If Windows then you already should have software pre-installed on your computer called "Windows Movie Maker". On Mac OSX (for example) i believe you should have iMovie installed on your machine. These two pieces of software are free and should be on your machine and would be ideal for what you are looking for.

As for using either software? i'm not 100% familiar with them both although i know a bit here and there. Perhaps someone else can step in here...

The best Movie Editor I've ever seen is "Adobe After Effects" ... it's absolutely amazing ... It's like Photoshop for movies ... but it's going to cost you a bit ...
Let's leave all our *plum* where it is and go live in the jungle ...
