It was a toss up as to whether to put this here or in the flash forum, because the finished product is a combination of each, but since this entire animation was generated digitally, I decided to post it here. It's an experiment so it's small and short, but it's digital start to finish. You need Flash Player 8 or Higher to view it.

what are you using to create that? Is it Bryce 3D or Terragen? If so it looks like those programs have improved significantly since I played with them.

The frames were rendered in Terragen, video created in QuickTime, then converted to FLV with Flash Video Encoder. I used the Flash 8 FLVPlayback component for the flash file.

Terragen has improved, but I've also gotten to be fairly good at creating quality scenes. And it'going to get even better. TG2 is currently released under a tech preview, but it is going to be super slick.

And thanks for te compliment Sonya

Thanks guys. The whole purpose is that I'll be doing a new version of our company website this year. The idea is to use these animations as backgrounds. Plus I also plan to make a hi res full length animation for my own personal satisfaction.

To give you an idea of the capabilities, this is what turned me on to this stuff. It's a very low quality version of the very first animation I ever saw using these products. He may still have a hi res download somewhere but I looked for it and couldn't find it. This is the Firesuite.com Demo Reel and it gives you a very clear idea of all that can be done. Remember this is entirely computer generated.
