fla file: it is the source document of flash, it can be opened and designed on Flash Player 8 or 2004 MX.

swf file:it is the release of formats of flash,With the only function of playing only, the Flash file designed in SWF can not be modified.

If you want to modify the SWF file, please turn it into FLA before.

are right :?:

you are right, but, you can't "de-compile" a swf file back to a fla file ... or not that I have seen though ...
Let's leave all our *plum* where it is and go live in the jungle ...

There are decompilers that exist. I haven't personally kept up with those in years. When I did, however, they did a horrible job at reverse-engineering the FLAs.

I never purchased Sothink Flash decompiler, but I did use the trial version a couple of times and it really wasn't bad. I think the paid for version probably would do a pretty good job.

Doubt that it matters much. I suspect this post is just another set up post for a spam link to some video converter considering I've already given the OP 2 prior warnings.

Not really, a better rule of thumb would be

Quote:
If you want to modify the SWF file, make sure you save the FLA file and don't forget to request the FLA file if you've purchased the SWF from a 3rd party
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

I'm sorry but what does that have to do with your original question?
