I use my digital camera sometimes to take short home videos and I want to post some on the internet but before I do, I want to watermark and edit the length of some videos.

Since what I want to do isn't complex I figure I can get it all I want done with Window's Movie maker, problem is my camera produces video files in .mov an extension that WMM doesn't recognize. Is there a plug-in so .mov files can be imported and converted to .wmv files?

Not aware of a plugin. .mov is a Quicktime format. You can pickup Quicktime Pro for only like $39. You can then export it as an AVI or mpeg4 (and a variety of other formats) which I assume should be importable into Movie Maker. I've never used movie maker though so I'm not sure if you can import those formats or not, but I would imagine at least mpeg.

All you need to do is get quicktime pro... you can buy it off apple.com and then they send you a registration key. After that just open your video in quicktime pro... then export it as anything: you can make ipod videos, image sequences, aiff, stills, and way more.

or you could just buy a more advanced movie editing software.. im not sure about this but i think VEGAS 6.0 is a good editing software... it is costly around 400 bucks but if you ever want to get more advanced it's there for you.

Why not to convert video to flash for posting in Internet? to my mind it's the easiest way.for example, you can try FlashConv (google it), it transforms different formats including .mov to .flv and .swf. so,now it's up to you
