Hey there,

I found some information on google about getting the title and description changed.

http://www.google.com/support/webmaster ... swer=35264

Apparently, google sometimes pulls this information from the dmoz directory.

It looks like you can place the "noodp" attribute in your robots meta tag to prevent this. So you could have something like...

<meta name="robots" content="NOODP, INDEX, FOLLOW" />

For my real estate website, it was annoying that it was always using the phone number in the upper left-hand corner as the description.

I am hoping this will fix the problem. Does anybody have any experiencing using this technique?

Sincerely,
Travis Walters
