Since last week I have been getting on average about 800 visitors a day, my PR is 3, my content hasn't changed much, will this increase in traffic boost my PR? Before I was only getting about 50 vistors a day. Please advise, thanks!

So if that is true, what is the point of lots of traffic besides sales? What I mean is what you are saying is you can have like a PR9, no traffic, no sales, but lots of in bound links? Doesn't make sense to me.. I would think that traffic was more importent then PR?

What more do you want? Sales is what it's all about, Isn't it?

It's possible. But to achieve PR9 you would need a lot of backlinks, So it's more likely that you would recieve a lot of traffic because of people clicking your backlinks.

Traffic is a lot more important than PR.
PR doesn't buy your products, PR doesn't click your adverts and PR doesn't read your message. People do all of that.

The only cause of PR though is backlinks. It's a mathamatical forumlar that only uses the PR of pages linking to you to decide your own PR.

Backlinks + Content + Website update frequency = Good PR.

No it doesn't. Only backlinks cause PR.

What I have SEO'd many sites with just content changes and increased PR. Backlinks are important but not without good content.

ONLY backlinks cause PR

You can have the best page in the history of the internet with perfect SEO, If you dont have any links pointing to it you will not get any PR.

the answer is: high traffic does not boost your PR. inbound link does.
My question: what is the cause of the surge of the high traffic? some good linking from other popular site? If that is the answer, most likely you will see some good PR to your site in the next update.

hope that helps.

Hi !

PR simply shows the link popularity.
Higher no. of backlinks from the relevent and authanticated sites increase the Page Rank of the site.

Higher number of links from worthless or insignificant sites does not add value for Google.

As far as the traffic is concerned then it is not related with the PR.
However, if you have good PR then their are good chances of getting higher position in SERP because the organic results are the factors of the relevancy and the page rank.
