Hi

I've seen recently on some sites that people are changing the look of the google ads, eg, see the very bottom of http://news.moneycontrol.com/cnbctv18/anchor.php

How do they do it? Any sites I can look at?

when you are making the script for your adsense, it asks you what size you want the add, what boarder color, text color, link color etc, you can change it all

yes but you can never get it to blend in with your content the way sites like the above do. Anyone know?

lol thats because they have a proper design team who thinks about what they already have, and how they want the adds to look.

tell u what, link me to your site, ill have a look and see how you might want to design it.

just know, they spent time and money getting it right.

also i am assuming you are refering to the fact that it doesnt look like an add right?

hoping that people will be dumb enough to click it thinking it is a link on your site?

Not to that extent, thats not even allowed.
This is not the only site ive seen doing it, especially recently I've seen sites where you can only tell that the ads are google ads when you click and hold on the link and the url shows in the status bar (dont ask me what they were, cant recall).

lol either you want it to look like the other guys have it or you dont, either it looks like part of the site or it doesnt.

the quickest way it just to remove the boarder, make the background colour the same colour as your page background, and make the text and link colour the same as you text and links on your page.

voila its done.

If they are blocking the link etc in the status bar, they are just manipulating the javascript on the page, prob not that advisable, also, people dont check every link they click to make sure that its not a google add so the benefits just arent worth it.

Did some more digging after looking at their source code. Turns out Google invites high profile sites to become premium publishers.
Bummer.
